Effective August 2, 2026 · Tweet Preview for X (Twitter), Chrome extension
Tweet Preview for X (Twitter) does not collect, store, transmit, sell, or share any personal data or usage data. There are no accounts, no sign-ins, no analytics, no tracking pixels, and no third-party servers.
chrome.storage.sync, which lives in
your own Chrome profile and syncs only through your own Google account, controlled by
your browser — never by us.The extension's only network requests fetch the public content of tweets you
explicitly paste into its settings, so they can be shown as timeline context in your
preview. These requests go directly from your device to X's public endpoints
(cdn.syndication.twimg.com and publish.twitter.com) and contain
only the public tweet ID — no personal data. Responses are cached locally in your
browser.
If this policy ever changes, the update will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Since the extension collects nothing, meaningful changes are unlikely.
